Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in non‑standard automation design, with hands‑on experience in independently or jointly completing medium‑scale automated assembly/testing production lines.
- Proficient in SolidWorks or Inventor, capable of complex mechanical structure design, large‑assembly modeling, and engineering drawing output.
- Good command of spoken English, able to participate in international conference calls, conduct technical communication with overseas clients or teams, and prepare technical reports and design proposals in English.
Job Responsibilities:
- Concept Design & Development
- Responsible for conceptual design of non‑standard automated production lines for automotive components (e.g., body stamping/welding parts, powertrain components, interior trims, battery housings), including process planning, equipment layout, and technical route formulation.
- Participate in preliminary technical reviews, perform feasibility analysis, and output design proposals, equipment concept drawings, and technical documentation.
- Detailed Design & Drafting
- Independently complete detailed mechanical design of non‑standard automation equipment (e.g., special machines, automated workstations, assembly lines, inspection systems, robotic application systems).
- Perform 3D modeling and engineering drawing using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor; generate complete Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Conduct selection, calculation, and design of key components (e.g., jigs, fixtures, conveying/lifting mechanisms, robot end‑effectors) to meet automotive industry requirements for high precision, high cycle time, and high reliability.
- Technical Standards & Quality Control
- Familiar with and apply relevant automotive industry technical standards.
- Ensure design outputs comply with project specifications, safety regulations (e.g., mechanical safety standards), and customer standards.
- Participate in design reviews and optimization, troubleshooting technical issues arising during design, manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning.
- Project Management & Support
- Collaborate closely with electrical, software, project management, and procurement teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide ongoing technical support to procurement, machining, assembly, and commissioning departments.
- Monitor equipment manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning processes, and perform necessary design iterations and improvements.
- Technical Innovation & Standardization
- Contribute to the establishment and improvement of internal design specifications, standard parts libraries, and common modules to enhance design efficiency and reliability.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies/ processes and apply them in projects to continuously improve equipment performance.
